Stranger On The Shore: A Day at Union Lake

Union Lake is a 900-acre lake (the largest in south jersey) located in Millville, NJ. It is the home of the Union Lake Siling and Tennis Club and the host of several Traditional Small Craft Sailing Association events. I am a member of both organizations. The club hosts Sunday sailing races. Many local fishermen can be found enjoying the very productive waters.

I wish there were more videos of Picnic Cat sailboats and I will be trying to add additional videos this coming summer. There are often other Compac yachts on the lake, but I have yet to encounter another Picnic Cat. S/v Cheshire is Picnic Cat #270. For those of you who are unfamiliar, she is a 14' Gaff-rigged catboat. She is extremely safe and stable in these waters.
